‘New Mexican Resilience’
“New Mexican Resilience” was created for Plaza Don Luis located in the Old Town of Albuquerque. As a proud New Mexican, it was a true honor for me to represent our community and culture through this piece of work. The mural represents the resilience and beauty of the New Mexican people, like Cacti we thrive despite difficult circumstances and we do it radiantly. The flower in full bloom also represents the knowledge of the ancestors and the buds are the future generations to come. It honors the past and the present, a fitting sentiment for Old Town. The triangle pattern honors the masculine and the feminine and the duality of life in general.
